Our Love

Our love is like a tree…
It blossoms in spring
In the winter turns brown
It never stops growing
Til that lumberjack came around

Our love is like soup….
Best served hot
Sometimes served cold
You like when its mushy
I think you’re getting old

Our love is like that German boy that lives down the steet….
Its big and its round
Needs chocolate to savor
Unfriendly towards Jews
Disliked by the neighbors

Our love is like a tornado…
It swept through Witchita
Caused my father to cry
Left structural damage
To your left upper thigh

…but more than anything else, our love is like a simile.
Intriguing concept at first, but grows stale rather quick-i-ly
